GREENVILLE
After eight years of planning, Greenville Garden City, a new town on 767ha of land at Fisantekraal near Durbanville, to eventually accommodate over 16 000 homes, schools, community facilities, public spaces and transport infrastructure, has been launched. Read more.
PINEHURST
Pinehurst, flagship of Garden Cities’ Northern areas, is well past the tipping point on its way to completion, with only 1 162 homes still to be built of the just over 2 662 that were planned when it was launched 14 years ago in sight of the Durbanville Hills and the Simonsberg. The suburb is likely to be completed within the next eight years. Read more.
SUNNINGDALE
Sunningdale’s status as a major West Coast suburb has received another boost with the proposed new regional shopping centre on the intersection of Berkshire Boulevard and the West Coast Road. The centre, with a first Phase gross lettable area (GLA) of 62 500 m2 is on a 20ha site that was sold by Garden Cities to Zenprop, who will develop it. Read more.
VICTORIA PARK
The attraction of Victoria Park since its launch nearly 13 years ago has been its highly affordable homes set in pleasant surroundings, accessibility to main highways and good retail resources nearby. Now, entering its third and last phase, the development has proved a huge success for residents who enjoy both the country and coastal atmosphere of the Helderberg Basin, while having easy access to Cape Town and the Boland.
