GARDEN CITIES RELEASES 16 NEW BONDED HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES AT GREENVILLE

As the bonded housing sector of Greenville Garden City expands with the sell-out of the initial 16 opportunities in the suburb, another 16 houses have been released for sale.

The homes are available in a choice of two size and finish options – R 56 m2 at R995 000.00 and 64m2 at R1 195 000.00.

Since the launch of the suburb, near Durbanville, in 2016, 2 845 BNG (Breaking New Ground) houses have been occupied and a further phase of 495 homes is being serviced, with construction planned from early 2025, for a period of two years.

BONDED HOMES

Greenville, that offers homes for a broad economic spectrum, gives young first time homebuyers the opportunity to get into the market through bonded housing that is designed and constructed to a high standard. Older buyers scaling down from larger homes are also attracted to the comfortable, affordable homes.

The carefully curated colour palette of the exteriors of the houses includes subtle, attractive shades that include Silver Night, Sea Mist and Stone Shadow. The homes are enclosed both by 1.8m high concrete walls, and also panels of palisade fencing at the front, with sliding gates to the driveway. Finishes include bronze powder-coated aluminium windows and skimmed and painted interior walls.

Interiors are planned to offer maximum usable space, and the kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms and bedrooms have high quality finishes that include tiled and carpeted floors, engineered stone finishes to working surfaces, and comfortable bathroom suites that include baths, hand-held showers with wall brackets, and solar water heaters.

Kitchens are equipped with built-in Defy electric ovens and hobs.

Greenville offers infrastructure that includes church sites such as those for the Urban Edge Church, on which construction is expected soon, as well as the Watch Tower Church and the Heart of True Worship Church which are also planned for construction as soon as possible.

In the field of early childhood and community development NGOs, construction will commence next year on The Father’s Heart Community Centre, that nurtures orphans and vulnerable children. 

LIV Cape Town- Early childhood development, is now operational. They have 80 children currently enrolled and 14 local people employed. They will be constructing a Computer Literacy Centre that will offer basic computer skills (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook); coding/programming; web design and 3D printing.

Educational facilities include the Fisantekraal Primary School and Akila Secondary School that are both operational with over 1 000 children enrolled in both.

The School of Skills site has been transferred, and construction is planned for this year; and the Tjeka Private FET College is operational with Phase2 in the planning stage.

The Greenville Youth Centre, run by the Fisantekraal Centre for Development (FCD), a faith based non-profit organisation, has been restoring dignity and building self-esteem in unemployed people through skills development since its inception in 2010. Their services include skills training to improve employability or ability to start their own initiative. It offers Mentorship, Work experience, Counselling and Job seeker support.

Health facilities are represented by the City of Cape Town Clinic, which is now fully Operational.

On the retail food side, there is a Shoprite U Save store.
